Dextrans’ Director Of Supply Chain Solutions Appointed To SIMM Board Council Member

With immediate effect, Eddie Tan has been appointed to the Board of Singapore Institute of Materials Management As a Board Council Member, he will be leading the establishment of international network for SIMM. In addition he will be working with the board to synergize with other global institutes to establish the professionalism of the logistics and supply chain industry. 

The Singapore Institute of Materials Management (SIMM) was incorporated in 1980 as a non-profit and self-supporting independent educational institution. The primary objective of the Institute is to establish and to maintain a high standard of knowledge and excellence in the field of Logistics and Procurement.

The secondary objective is to promote and foster the study, research and development on Logistics and E-commerce technology and practices to the field of Logistics and Purchasing. SIMM has since grown to be a premier institution offering Logistics, Supply Chain Management and E-commerce education for the industry training professionals assisting also in the conversion of manpower for personnel not in the Logistics and Procurement field or industry.

At SIMM students can further their higher education in Singapore through distance learning or on-campus studies, with reputable and award-winning university. Curtin University of Technology, in Australia.
